VAN MAHOTSAV 2024

On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, the annual tree plantation program, Annamacharya College of Pharmacy – (Autonomous) in association with the NSS Unit and the Department of Pharmacognosy organized a successful plantation drive. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the third-year B. Pharmacy students and NSS volunteers.

The program aimed at promoting environmental awareness and enhancing the greenery of the campus. Around 100 saplings, including medicinal plants like Aloe vera, Tulasi, and Vinca, were planted during the event. These plants were carefully chosen for their medicinal properties and environmental benefits.

The event was graced by the presence of Sri C. Yella Reddy, Vice Chairman of Annamacharya Educational Trust (AET), who actively participated in the plantation drive. He congratulated the NSS team and the students for their dedication and efforts in organizing the event.

Dr. D. Swarnalatha, a respected faculty member, also took part in the plantation by planting a sapling. She took the opportunity to educate the participants on the importance of plants in maintaining ecological balance and promoting health. Her insights on the medicinal uses of the plants planted added significant value to the program.

The event saw active involvement from both teaching and non-teaching staff, who contributed to the success of the plantation drive. Their collective efforts not only made the event successful but also set an example of teamwork and commitment towards environmental conservation.

Overall, the plantation program at Annamacharya College of Pharmacy was a resounding success, reinforcing the importance of tree planting and environmental stewardship among the students and staff.
