DST Sponsored WEDP on Role of women in creation of an entrepreneurial driven economy through implementation of start-ups scheduled from may 22 2023 to June 7 th 2023 at the Annamacharya College of Pharmacy, Rajampet, aimed to bestow with an opportunity for delegates to Gain knowledge and understand the concepts related to entrepreneurship. Over the last FIFTEEN days, we have had deep insights into several MODULES in entrepreneurship

  • MODULE - 6: MANAGEMENT INPUTS

Hoping for a better tomorrow, free from any hurdles we began our program with the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi on 22 may at 10.00 am. over the video communication service platform, Zoom. On the first day, Program coordinator Welcomed all Participants.Principal Dr D.Swarnaltha briefed the participants about the programme.
The session was inaugurated with the inaugural address by the Chief Guest, the most esteemed personality and a strong woman Prof N.Rajani,Registrar ,Sri mahila viswa vidyalayam, Tirupathi. Madam shared some views about ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
Prof K.Jyalakshmi ,Additional controller of examinations,JNTUA ,Anathapuramu has been invited as a guest of honour and she quoted about the significance of entrepreneurship.

MODULE 1: ENTREPRENEURSHIP & SCHEMES OF ASSISTANCE

Dr.Vijayalakshmi,, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, GIET School of pharmacy,Rajahmundry began the programme with an introductory presentation explaining briefly “Who is an Entrepreneur & Charms of being an Entrepreneur” She familiarized us, about the above talk.
DrV.Parameswari, Professor Jamal Mohamed college ,Trichy provided information on Boosting local employment: Subsidised loan assistance for MSME through DIC, NSIC , SIDBI.

MODULE - 2: PROJECT SELECTION & IT’S PRE FEASIBILITY

Dr Veena,Associate professor,Sri indu college of pharmacy explained how to identify business opportunities She pointed out some tricks and tactics to identify.

DrK.VenuGopal Rao ,Dean, Faculty of commerce and management studies,S.K.University clearly explained about the topic Business Opportunity identification: Criteria of selection & Sources of Information. These ideas are very useful for everyone who has attended the programme.

Dr.J.Samatha Naidu,Principal, AnnamacharyaPG college of Computer studies,Rajampet Provided complete information on Business Opportunity Guidance Interactions with Rep. from various support institutions A well precise and clear explanation about the topic How to conduct Market Survey:Tools,Techniques and Guidelines by Dr T.NarayanaReddy, Professor and Head of management studies, JNTUA, Ananthapuramu through Visually appealing presentation enhanced the knowledge of participants.

Dr Ramprasad Rao, Former Dean,MBA department, S.K.University spotted light on the topic How to assess pre-feasibility of a Project and  Preparing Pre-feasibility Report: Preliminary Project Report (PPR) .

MODULE - 3: CONSOLIDATION OF BUSINESS IDEA

DrT.Subbalakshmi, Department of commerce, Sri Paramakalyani college, Tenkasi explained about Soft Skill Development and its significance in Business Communication.

DrM.Subbarao, HOD, Department of IT, AITS, Rajampet explained soft skills and Effective communication  such as active listening, using self for messages, conflict management, positive body language, and asking the right questions and how to improve efficiency.

The key objectives in business is customers intentions towards a product and this objective will be manifested in the form of a questionnaire. It is difficult to achieve success without a well-designed questionnaireDr T.Narayana Reddy, Professor and Head of management studies, JNTUA, Ananthapuramu Precisely explained about Briefing Market survey, Questionnaire designing.

DrBini Marin V, Associate professor, Scott Christian college, Nagercoil and Dr K.VenuGopal Rao , Dean, Faculty of commerce and management studies,S.K.University focused on  Conducting Market Survey and online Data Collection for the identified business opportunities and types of market survey.These two presentations made the participants  what is an affordable and reliable way to gather information from your target markets.

Dr Aakash Rana, Chandigarh institute  explained the topic on Linking Business Opportunities with trainees DrV.Darling Selvi , Rani anna government college for women discussed on Evaluating the PPRs prepared by the Trainees

MODULE - 4: MOTIVATIONAL INPUT

Motivation can be developed by imparting required training and education to the prospective entrepreneurs, Dr Murugeswari, Assistant professor, Sri parasakthi College for women, Tirunelveli, Dr Kasigari Prasad, AITS, Rajampet took a session on Developing Entrepreneurial Competencies (Achievement Motivation Training)

MODULE - 5: BUSINESS PLAN PREPARATION

Dr Ambati Nageswar rao, Assistant Professor of Social Work, Director, GNLU Legal Incubation Council, & Former Dean, Research and Publication Division, Gujarat National Law University, emphasized   on Business Plan: Need, Importance, Content & Format and Business Plan: Content & Format Dr Manju Sree, Director of entrepreneur Cell, GITAM university call attention to Preparation of Detailed Business Plan Dr.R.Vani HOD of MBA,Narayana college, Nellore explicated  on assessment of Working Capital Requirement for MSME and management of   Working Capital for MSME Dr Viswanath Reddy,Professor in MBA, Rayalaseema university gave a well specific and lucid explanation about the topic -BreakEven Point. Product Costing and Cost Consciousness.this topic was explained in a easy and understandable way by Dr Sasikumar ,Associate Professor,GITAM School of business Dr M.V.S.Sudhakar, Professor, Sreenidhi institute of science and Technology,Ghatkesar,Hyderabad outlined the importance of Cash flow, Profitability & Balance Sheet preparation. Product Planning & Product Mix Strategy has  been explained by  the  first session speaker Dr J.Sureshbabu sir,Department of computing,Mohan babu University,Tirupathi followed by Purchase Technique by Mr K.Venkata Narsiah, HOD, MBA, Government Degree college ,Rajampet and Leadership modes By DrP. Nagaveni,SVU College of pharmaceutical sciences,Tirupati

MODULE - 6: MANAGEMENT INPUTS

Marketing Management: Product Promotion, Sales and Advertisement,DrV.Parameswari Professor Jamal Mohamed college ,Trichy ,Financial Management, Dr P.Subramanyam sir, HOD, MBA,AITS,few noteworthy points on Personal Management by Mrs N R Gowthami, Associate professor,Department of civil engineering,AITS, Rajampet IPR, Pattern, Copyrights, Trade Mark etc.has been explained with few examples in day to day life by Dr C. Suryaprakash Reddy,Professor,Department of Pharmaceutics,Annamacharya college of pharmacy, an outstanding presentation on Negotiation and Networking by Dr  .Leema Rose Viannie, President, Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) & Assistant Professor, Dept. of Physics, SAS, VIT Vellore.

A remarkable session on Delegation of Authority by Dr T. Sowdamini, Assistant Professor,Department of HRM,GITAM SCHOOL OF BUSINESS GITAM(Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam Efficiency  Orientation and Systematic Planning by Dr Muniraju Naidu Vadlamudi, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, VNRVJIET,

The impact of the taxation system on MSMEs is twin layered- through the corporate taxation system and the GST .This topic Taxation: Various Taxes Applicable to MSME  by Dr Sashikumar ,Associate professor,GITAM School of business, Hyderabad provided a crystal clear picture .

The WEDP has received an overwhelming response and received very positive remarks and feedback with high levels of appreciation for the distinguished speakers where it contained seamless coordination and richness in content. The participants of the WEDP from different parts of the country and their vibrant presence made the Programme a successful academic event.

However it is a privilege and honour to be entrusted with such an important task at a gathering of such eminent people from nook and corners of the country in the fields of academia.
